Elizabeth, a first-generation American with Mexican roots, earned her Bachelor’s in Sociology and Criminal Justice from North Central College. While attending NCC, she conducted research on restorative justice in Guatemala and participated in a U.S.-Mexico border program, engaging with organizations like Border Angels and Customs and Border Patrol. She also interned at a law firm. These experiences deepened her passion for immigration and community support. To further her impact, Elizabeth earned a Master’s in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies from DePaul University. With seven years of experience in immigration law and fluency in English and Spanish, she is dedicated to helping others. Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys immersing herself in nature through outdoor activities, indulging her love of reading, and staying active with weightlifting.
